hysterectomy/oophorectomy delayed
Hi,
StephN had encouraged me to post on the Board my upcoming surgery that had been scheduled on Dec. 10, the coming Thursday.
Well, the surgery has been delayed... Here's an e-mail I had sent out yesterday:
"Dr. Fothergill spent quite some time this morning explaining to me that due to the 'recall' of a crucial device used in the operation, my surgery could not be done this week as had been planned. He thought most likely it would be rescheduled for early January, but it could be sooner. "The staff will contact you as soon as we get new supplies from another company," he stated. A resident doctor went over with me the procedure and consent forms before I was headed for the Admission counter to take care of other paper work.
Both doctors are extremely young and courteous. Dr. Fothergill also said that due to certain factors, he will need to go the semi-traditional route which will require 4-6 weeks recovery time (instead of the 3-weeks estimated previously.) When I asked if I should just forget about it, they both stated that it's necessary for me to have the operation.
We then went to Waco for my disability hearing. It's really hard to explain my disability to others. One psychologist (contracted by Texas Rehabilitation Commission) tested me at the 96 percentile level. The neuropsychologist at Scott & white found several areas where I was 'severely impaired'. The higher IQ explained how I had been able to get new jobs. The impairment explained why I had lost those jobs again and again.
The higher score shows how I could compose an e-mail like this. The impairment probably was the reason why I would sometimes 'offend' others without realizing it myself. As family members, friends and relatives, you all have shown extreme tolerance of my occasionally 'bizarre' behavior. For that, I want to thank you."

3-11 Appendectomy - visually O.K., a lot of puss. Final path result - not cancer.
Start Vitamin D3 and Calcium supplement （600mg x2)
10-10 Stopped Exemestane due to r. hip/l.thigh pain OKed by Onco 11-08-2016
7-23-2018 9 mm groundglass nodule within the right lower lobe with indolent behavior. Due to possible adenocarcinoma, Recommend annual surveilence.
7-10-2019 CT to check lung nodule.
1-10-2020 8mm stable nodule on R Lung, two 6mm new ones on L Lung, a possible lymph node involvement in inter fissule.
