Year Three

My three year anniversary was in November. Latest mammogram is normal and my oncologist visit was routine. Of course, I'm worried that my rib pain is something serious. We all worry. I am grateful to be healthy, but I will remain vigilant.

Hi Mjo
So happy for you on your 3rd yr. cancerversary!

As you know the Armidex does cause aches and pains....
also did you have radiation? That can cause tenderness on the ribs....especially if you are picking up heavy objects, being active...just last week I was moving some
furniture and the next few days my rib was sore.

All good wishes!
Jean

Congratulations Mary Jo. Another great milestone. I have some rib pain now too - weird eh? Did some ab and oblique crunches last night and its worse when I slouch but not at all if I don't so its good posture for me all the time.

Also, stress doesn't help and don't we all have stress this time of year - and especially this year with our global crash and burn economy!

See you soon

Thanks for your good wishes. I think of my cancerversary as my second birthday. As for the Ritalin, the side effects when it wears off are too strong for me -- tiredness and a weepy feeling. I did a few things for myself -- got rid of furniture and clutter in my bedroom. Took down some pictures and now I have a lot of "white space" in the room. It's soothing. Am decluttering other rooms. In my apartments, I had almost no furniture. I used the think of myself as eccentric and cheap, but I think now I was trying to help myself. Also have cut back on wheat. Use more gluten free products. It helps some people with ADD. Finally, since I'm in the Femara study, I insisted to my onc that he report my cognitive complaints.

Big Congrats Mary Jo!

I still have rib pain--have had more or less since starting Herceptin. Seems to be a common thread for us.
