I got to meet our beloved Mary Jo!

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday, I finally got to meet our own precious Mary Jo and her husband Mark. It was truly a wonderful experience. They were in Northern California for a wedding and made an incredibly long trek (11 hours by car) to Southern California to meet my sister and me.

Mary Jo is as wonderful, awesome, special, and loving in person as she is on this site.

We had a whole day to visit together. I can tell you that we were never at a loss for words. They felt like family.

Mary Jo did have a bit of bad news while she was here. One of her precious dogs was hit by a car and killed and they got the news just as they arrived at Leslie's. Please lift her up in prayer and encouragement if you get the chance. I know the news was painful, yet it never put a damper on our visit.

Thank you, Joe and Christine for providing a wonderful site to meet such special people as Mark and Mary Jo.

Lisa

aww, mary jo i'm so sorry about your dog. about a month ago we lost our tea-cup poodle we'd had for 8 yrs. he came from the pound so we had no idea how old he was. he was right by my side through all of my treeatments, stayed on the couch with me and crawled with me to the bathroom when i was too sick to walk. we do have a new dog, a shih-tzu. came from the people my daughter is a nanny for. my prayers are with you!

Lisa, you were so blessed to be visited by Mary Jo. I've often told her what a dear, sweet, loving person she is and that I would love to be her neighbor.
Mary Jo, I am so sorry to hear about your fur baby. I know they get to be like our kids and I'm sending you a big loving hug.
Hugs

Lucky Leslie! I think that is really neat that you ladies got to meet up! Yes, MareJo is a gem for sure!

I am awfully sorry to hear about her doggie. That is sad news. Our pets are part of the family.

Sending Hugs,
Lex

Dear Lisa.....(and the rest of you sweet ladies) - thank you for your kind words and your condolences for our Murray who was hit by a car and died.

And now to you Lisa, thank you for your kind post. The feeling is definitely mutual by both Mark and I. Meeting you and Leslie was a true blessing to us and you are definitely the same wonderful people that "shouts" from the e-mails and posts I receive. As I told Leslie ......"for such a time as this" was truly a blessing and even if we never meet again on this side of Heaven, we can be assured we will on the other side.

Thanks Lisa for your kindness while we were with you. You, Leslie and Kevin made us feel so special. Thank you for that that. Oh, and the picture order is........from your left...seated is Leslie, her fiance Kevin and Lisa (our own "Leslie's sister) - back row from your left....my husband Mark and then me.

Hugs and blessings,

Mary Jo

Girls,

Seems like you had a great time! Good for you! I think this is what makes this group soooo special, that we all grow to be a big family. Wish I could meet you too some time.

Mary Jo, I am so sorry to hear about your dog, I hope you will soon overcome this.
