HELP Femara and liver panel increased numbers??

I just started Femara in April, I had labs done recently and my AST went from 22 to 58 ( normal 10-50) and my ALT went from 19 to 63 ( normal 0-50). I am very concerned about this, the nurse told me that my oncologist doesn't get worried until the labs are 1 1/2 times the normal value.
I am worried that my cancer has spread to my liver !! Has anyone else had this happen, could it be from the Femara?
how high are your liver values when you get liver cancer ??

I was on tamaxifen, but Chemo put me into menapause and so my Dr. switched me to Femara

My ALT and AST have been abnormally high since chemo (3 1/2 years ago). They have never returned to normal and I've had every test there is. No evidence of anything. Try not to worry.

Minimally higher liver test results are more common even in the general population of women after menopause, with more women experiencing different processing by the liver with the rapid aging of treatment.

The "normal range" covers adult women who haven't had that traumatic change. Even repeated tests minimally above the "norm" would be reflecting that. Anxiety with new tests is normal too, but a lot of energy goes into it and unless your tests continue to rise (or if you are actually quite young with those results), I'd listen to the nurse for now. You have eased my mind!!
I had Chemo in 2004, I am now 44, I was on tamaxifin
until April when the blood test showed that I am post menapause. so now I am on Femara.
I will have a repeat blood test in a month, I hate worrying about things, I don't like cancer getting the best of me.
I am so glad I have this board to ask ?'s , it has helped me get thru things many times !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have been having slightly elevated liver panels. Mine is not with the ALT or AST, but with the bilirubin scores. They tend to fluctuate just above and beyond the high end of normal. My oncologist was not the least concerned and he said it looked like a normal variant or something they call Gilbert's Syndrome and is quite common and of no clinical significance. My internist wanted to be very conservative so she just had me do an ultrasound of the abdominal area and it all came out fine.
