Liked hearing this...Femara shows benefits even when

waiting up to seven years to start treatment. Additionally, Femara shows during Phase 111 trail to halt recurrence by 63% - I think this is impressive. We are finally receiving data on Femara and I am happy to report is it positive news.

I know you changed to Femara from Arimidex. Do you feel better since
the change. I am thinking of doing it because of the bone ache at night
and in the morning. It is a lot better with exercise but still it slows me down.

Hi Jean,

I am on Aromasin and have a lot of problems with my finger joints. What are your side effects from Femara?

Dear Karen and Pat,
I was on Arimidex for one year. I remained on it to allow my body time to adjust. After the first three weeks on I began to feel neck pain and back pain, the pain just progressed. I continued to exercise to keep my joints loose. Months passed and the pain increased. Mornings were difficult, my ankles were so stiff I thought I would not be able to stand on them. I stayed on the Arimidex for one year. It really became so painful to my fingers, hips, neck area. I stopped Arimidex thinking I allowed enough time for my body to adjust. Soon after stopping the Arimidex the joint pains stopped. After chemo I decided to switch over to Femara, even though I am told they are similiar. For me it was a great improvement. I would have to say that I am not totally without some joint pain. My hip
aches here and there...but the improvement is about 85% compared to
Arimidex. For me on the days when my hip is a bit much I take one Alieve which helps. I exercise and do weight bearing also. I am very happy I made the change.

Hope this helps both of you.
Sending you "soothing wishes"
Hugs,
Jean
