Adios Mr. Port...Hope to never see you again!

Well, today was my big day- I had my PASS port removed. A little scary and apprehensive I do have to admit. Its funny, I've spent the last 19 months pretending I don't have it, yet when it came time to give it up, I thought I was having a panic attack. I'm trying not to feel like I am "testing fate", but your mind plays tricks on you......

Anyways, for all of you beginning this journey, I wanted to let you know that it does get better with time, and that I never imagined I'd get to this point. I am so grateful for every day I've been given and have finally reached a level of acceptance that I don't know what tomorrow holds, that its out of my power to control, and that whether I have 1 day left on this earth or fifty years, the last 19mos have been worth every agonizing step and I feel more blessed each and every day.

Love, Kelly
