Smile In the world of destiny, there are no statistics

I was feeling really down, I have to have my port replaced Wednesday. I have scans coming up to see if my liver mets are shrinking. On and on. I know that there are times after treatment that my moods are low. I get so frustrated by the fatigue. And then I am not always a nice person. So I decided to focus on inspiration instead of information tonight. I found a really great site:

http://www.cancerselfcare.com/html/getting_through.html

and on that site I found the following link:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/weekend/st...394585,00.html

It is a must read. It reminds me of all the wonderful women out there who are where I am and where I am going on this journey. It is not the journey I would have chosen; I would have preferred Fiji. : ) But it is a journey and many of us are traveling this path together. We can take courage from those who have gone before us and try to help those who will follow. And with some humor and a lot of thanks for the internet we can get each other through the bad times. Years ago I told a friend that I was getting really tired of all "those #$%@ opportunities for growth. I did not welcome this one with open arms. I know that I am just at the beginning. I hope that I can navigate through this with as half much courage and grace as I have seen in the posts form the women and men on this board.

Inspiration is just as important

as information. I agree - too many opportunities for growth and too little opportunities for Fiji! I'm at work now slacking, but I will be back to check out these links as I'm in need of some inspiration myself!

Hang in there!

OK I'm back now after having read it - loved the website and the article both!
