Unhappy I miss Lisa, Al...

and many other provocative thinkers. At one point we used to have some SURE FIRED discussions (the chats were awesome too) regarding cause of her2 bc, treatments, diet, exercise, alternative meds etc and I just haven't felt the "spark" of creativity lately (I guess that's why I haven't posted much). There are others I miss too, but Lisa and Linda/Al held a special place in my heart (I have a card in my planner that Lisa sent to me and I look at it and think of her often). Take care and God bless.

Rhonda

It is difficult...

missing special people....Rhonda,

I have an additional question, why is it that no one is using the chat room?
When ever I enter the chat it is always empty at many different times.
I know that it is always available (as Joe stated) in an earlier post.

Why not just make a chat room date - like every Mon & Wed. evening from
7:30 or 8 Pm to 10 pm each week - and keep it open for any and all
discussions? If the memebers knew this was standard maybe many would
enter?

Just a thought...

Regards,
Jean

Chatting would be a great way to honor Lisa, Linda, and everyone else! I love the idea. Pick a time and lets go! We might just wake up some sleeping giants! ma

I too have entered the chat room on many different occasions and there is never anyone there to chat with. I like the idea of having the chat room...it lends itself to conversation which sometimes is nicer than just posting. Makes it more personal as well. I guess we are all so busy with reading the postings on this forum and with regular things in life that it doesn't leave much time to chat in a chat room, but I will continue to check it periodically and look forward to the opportunity to chat with some or all of you.

Becky has posted a "Sticky" poll to try and determine what the best day and time would be for a scheduled chat.

I did a few chats a year+ ago. Fun. You really need to set a topic and time to encourage people to log on. It is difficult to type and read at the same time for some of us.

Keep working on it. If someone wants to make it happen it will. I think for many of us when we get NED, we tend to refocus on other aspects of life like working, etc. I do think it is helpful to connect with others at real time on some subjects.BB

Rhonda~what a thoughtful post...

Rhonda-so insightful...
I feel like the boards have been a little "heavy" & uninspired lately...
I'd love to see us all get on a positive role again. There's been some great stuff going on like,
*Mary Anne in Tx, done w/radiation!
*Catherine's Curly Hair after Chemo (& how much so many of us LOVE it!)
*Fullofbeans(Karina) & NED together & their remarkable journeys ahead
*Madubois's continued return to health
*Vanessa's grandchildren & their impending arrival!
and so many more...
My personal contribution - I'm day 5 postop reconstruction (implant swap-out) & "The TWINS"-i call them "Itchy" & "Stingy"-are healing SO SO quickly. I sqwashed my finger in the car door the same day as my surgery, and that hurts more than my surgery site!
Not to mention, this time last year I was nursing wounds from an excisional biopsy of yet another malignant breast tumor, discovered only 8 weeks after a R Hepatectomy. I had so many bandanged incisions I felt like I had been mugged and knifed!
I have always LOVED this site b/c of the confident and compassionate, wise women & men who post here.
You have all been pivotal to my continued survival and thrival (I know, that's not really a word, but I can't think of the right one, right now!)

So, God Bless!
Take good care of yourselves & one another,
and most of all,
Keep the Faith~

Smile Here is a post from Mel...

So sorry Mel, I was only trying to jog her memory as to WHO she was, not "who" she was. So sorry again.

Lisa's posts...

I would say the best way to get to know my beloved is to read her threads/her words - not necessarily the previous link. The previous link is woderful but deals with her last days - I think this link will take you to every post SHE made - when she remembered to sign in anyway!

Thanks for the link Rhonda! Although it was hard re-reading that thread I really needed to do it!

No apology necessary...

Either link... Either thread... THAT WAS LISA! I just wanted to provide a link to Lisa via "her" words, not my memories...

NEVER worry about "stepping" on my feelings. I realize the love and care with which you reply to each and every post.

Love and Light
Mel

PS - did you edit your thread? I no longer see the link you posted!?!?!?

Smile Mel...

yes, I did as your hurt feelings weren't worth keeping it up there. Curious though, did Joe pull Lisa from the member list as I no longer see her there so that I can attach?
