It's a Boy

A while back, I posted that I am having 2 grandbabies in June. My daughter that is due June 10th, just found out that she is having a boy! I am 1 of 2 girls and both my sister and I had girls. We are really excited to find out that we are going to have a boy in the family. Unfortunately, my dad passed in August, 2006 and will not be around to enjoy his great grandson, he would have been thrilled! Anyway, I am not sure what to do with a little boy, but I am sure I will figure it out. My other daughter who is due June 22nd, will find out the sex of her baby on the 5th of February. I will keep you posted.

How wonderful....being a grandma is the very best in life...my # 6 is due in March, a girl we know.....that will make 5 grandaughters and 1 grandson for me....my grandson is elated that so far he has managed to remain the only boy, therefor extra special to grandma....and he is the oldest! Whatever the other is, boy or girl, they will always be close being born around the same time.....that is so neat!

Vanessa, congratulations on your future grandson. I hear being a grandma is delicious....exactly how it was put to me by quite a few friends. I come from a family of all girls and my son was the first male born in the next generation. You should have seen the fuss made over him before he even left the hospital. He was given more sports balls then we knew what to do with. Enjoy this time in your life. Can't wait to join the ranks of grandparenting.

Congratulations Vanessa! I only have one grandchild - a boy 6 years old. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it is being a grandmother. I wish I had more grandchildren but it doesn't look like I'll ever have any more. Boys are wonderful -- so different than girls. I'm sure you'll enjoy him.

Congratulations! Grandkids are wonderful! And you get to spoil them and then send them home to Mom and Dad. Don't know about grandkids since I only have the one, but from experience with my own four children, boys are much easier to raise than girls.

Smile Wonderful News

Hi Vanessa,

This is great news. All the best to you and your family. I am partial to boys. Maybe because I have a son. He is my only one. Don't get me wrong, I love my nieces and God Daughters dearly, but boys seem easier and they are usually very close to Moms and Grandmoms. Also a June 10th baby. He has to be great. I am June 8th (lol).

Sincerely,

Liz J.

Vanessa,

Congratulations on the good news!! A boy! I have a 14 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. They are quite different but equally awesome! I must say that my son is more sensitive, he's really sweet. What fun that your daughters are having their babies so close together. Have fun!!

Hugs,
Lexi

Thank you everyone for the congratulations. We will know what my other daughter is having after her ultrasound tomorrow. I am 46 and will be 47 when my grandchildren are born. I was 20 when I had my first daughter. I thought I did everything right as far as preventing breat cancer. I had my children early and breastfed them both. Anyway, I will report tomorrow what my 2nd grandchild is. I can hardly wait to find out. Thanks for your support.
