<!-- Article Tools --> United Healthcare Insurance Co. said Wednesday that it will offer coverage of a test for breast cancer recurrence.

Genomic Health Inc., which makes gene-based cancer tests, entered into an agreement with the affiliate of Minnetonka-based health insurer UnitedHealth Group. The new deal establishes coverage across all of UnitedHealthcare's plans for women with early-stage breast cancer. Coverage will become effective for claims for services performed on or after Jan. 3.

Contracts in place for Oncotype DX cover over 98 million people.
