You responded to my femara/tamox. post. I am Her2 +++ er+ pr+. I think you assumed I was negative. Why? Is it o.k. to be on tamoxifen if you are positive? Thanks for the reply. Sally

You are right. I failed to check that you are already HER+
So taking this into account, I assume your onc estimates that a drug (Tamoxifen) that blocks access to the estrogen receptors by circulating estrogen may work better than a drug (Femara) that suppresses estrogen.
If that is the case, Becky's suggestion about using Faslodex to permanenty degrade the receptors makes good sense because it also may provide added protection against ER stimulation by HER-2 which is independant of circulating estrogen.
