Smile 1st time Grandmother!!

Hello to all my new girlfriends and yes some male friends, too! Just want to share some happy news. My oldest daughter just gave birth to my first grandchild. Little Michael was a whopping 9 lbs. 5 ozs.!! We are all so happy and she had him by c-section on Sunday after labor which began late Friday nite. Although it sounds like a cliche I thank God that Life does go on...with a new generation.... a little legacy. You know, my oldest daughter was just 3 when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 23 years ago. There has been a lot of living-mostly good since then. Well, we all must try to go forward even though it is tough and very scary with BC. Good wishes to all-Cathy, my real name aka Ceesun. and thank you Christine and Joe for this website.....

Congratulations on becoming a grandma for the first time! I became one last April. Somebody told me at the time that just when you think you can't love any more, along comes a grandbaby and you discover how much more love you have to give. And that is so true! Just imagining Dilly's smile makes me smile!
