Need advice re: new symptom

I'm currently still on Xeloda and Zometa. My rib pain has increased, so we'll be doing scans again soon. But yesterday with my wonderful PA, I mentioned that I'd had a lot of gas. Then I belched. She asked whether I'd had a lot of belching and whether I'd felt a bloated stomach. My answer to both was no. She obviously felt something while pressing my tummy.

That was Thursday morning. By Thursday evening, I vomited terribly and had a very achy, bloated stomach. Today I've just stayed in bed all day. My entire healing team had gone to a conference in Florida over the weekend.

Has anyone out there experienced these symptoms? I could use the help.

Love and light,

Lisa

Lisa,

Could it possibly be your gallbladder? If you google, symptoms of gallbaldder disease, I think you will find some of your symptoms there. It is just a thought.

I sure hope you are felling better.

I hope just the flu

There is a gastro thing going around and my friend has it. She saw her doctor this morning who said that her belly pains and gas are most likely a bug that is making an appearance lately. Itis not like any other gastro distress my friend has ever experienced.

I will pray that is the case with your problem.

Believe me I know exactly what you are talking about. I suffered with rib pain all through chemo and still do on an off. It felt like my ribs were being squeezed in a vice. My Oncologist and scans showed it was nothing but the pain got so bad a few weeks ago that I went to my GP and he ordered a gall bladder ultrasound....it still showed nothing wrong. The pain has gone away since but I still get a twinge when I eat sometimes. I was put on Nexium and it helped...sherryg683

Hi Lisa;

It always seems that we have to have some kind of crisis when the weekend is coming up and everyones gone on a conference! Haven't had your symptoms except in relation to intestinal bug or food poisoning, and either one is no fun. Flat ginger ale and saltines seem to help me when I have the "bug". Hope you're feeling better soon, but be sure and get things checked out by your team when they return, and keep us posted.

i have had the same thing

Hi Lisa, this is so weird and I don't want to post about me, but I have felt just plain weird and uncomfortable in my chest and belly for weeks. Lots of pressure, rib pain, bloating and belching (no vomiting though). I have made myself crazy trying to figure out if it is related to drug side effects, liver met progression, gall bladder or what. It has started to feel better, but it has been quite a while since I felt right.

I so hope this resolves for you quickly and maybe we figure out what the heck it is!

Get your rest, rent a funny movie and relax.
