chemo-24-48 hours post!

Dear Friends, You know how the body reacts to chemo @48 hours after treatment? Does taking xeloda and or navelbine have the same effect-do you ache all over--the Adriamyocin and Cytoxan and taxotere, which I call taxoterror really wiped me out. Should I expect that from Navelbine and Xeloda. So far I have been able to tolerate herceptin quite well. Thanks Cathy

Cathy, I have not had these chemo's but have read from posts here that Navelbine/Xeloda are much "easier" chemos than AC and "taxoterror"! I expect you will do much better on them.

Navelbine

Hi Cathy,
I do ache from Navelbine, but Advil handles it well. It also feel somewhat tired from the lower blood counts. It is much easier than AC or T. I do not have experience with Xeloda.
Good luck,
Barbara H.

Cathy
I have just completed 6 rounds of Xeloda, and except for tearing eyes, I had no problem at all.

Hi Cathy,
I wrote you an e-mail, but am writing for others here. Yes, I have continued teaching third grade and have not been absent from work since I started Navelbine in March.
Best regards,
Barbara H.
