Question Herceptin side effects

Hi all

I'm having like bug bites type of itch around my spine. I will be seeing doc on monday for next infusion of herceptin and will ask.

I read on this site that itching, shingles type of itch is sometimes related to bone mets.

Thank you all

I get so scared you know.

Please comment

XO to all

Hi MCS,

I too have these bug bite like itches on my bra-line and lower back. Itches like crazy and nothing seems to help. My onc said they WERE bug bites. After I convinced him they were not bug bites, he agreed that I was having a reaction to something. Although he was not convinced it was the Herceptin since I have been taking it since Aug '05. He was also convinced that it is not mets.
I think the change in weather, change in hormonal levels and drugs all have led to the itching which only gets worse when you scratch! I also fell accidentally recently and where ever I had bruising or swelling, all turned into another itch zone.

By the way, my initials are MTS and my name is Maria too.

Put socks on those hands!

Maria
