To Jessica - Re Resumming Chemo
Hi Jessica -
Just read your post and glad to hear that your liver surgery went well.
After my surgery, I was not given chemo, they just continued me on my Herceptin after I had recooped. My scans showed no activity going on and my markers were normal, so not really a need to have more chemo at that time.
The only reason I can think of to resume chemo would be if they want to take precaution against the possibility of any small cells still being around, other then that what would they be treating? I am sure your onc. would be the best to answer that question. Hopefully you will get a break. I know that I certainly welcomed it.
Good luck to you Jessica and if you have any other questions, pls feel free to contact me anytime. You sound like you are doing wonderfully.
Irene
