Anything metabolized by the liver has the potential to elevate liver enzimes. The most common elevated enzimes by a drug like taxol are Alk Phos and AST. AST is usually elevated when there is chronic assualt. The most specific to liver amage is probably Gamma GT but the real trick, and this is where the doctor comes in, is to read these results in combination and interaction with eachother. many of these enzimes are also effected by muscle injury, heart attacks, bone mets, last night's party. They may also be elecated when combining something like grapefruit with the drug as it could increase drug concentrations dramatically. If you are on neupogen support, you may have increased alk phos levels.
