Scan results

Well, as far as I can tell from the new radiologist, my brain MRI scan and PET/CT fusion scan this weeks looked good. I had to see another onc since mine was gone and I don't quite understand the wording the new radiologist uses. Next week, I'm asking my familiar radiologist to issue his own report. BUT , having said all that, it seems that everything looks good. The onc said the ankle swelling and the fatigue both can come from Gemzar, which I've been able to take weekly.

So with that good news, Mel, his daughter and grandbaby and I are off to Estes Park for the weekend. Staying in a condo/cabin with hottub, fireplace, 2 bedroom, breakfast, views of the Big Thompson river, strolls on the river path, massage maybe, steam room definitey, and into the Rocky Mt National Park to hear/watch the elk bugling. One big male fights a younger one for his harem. Quite a site to see and hear.

If you get a chance, check out www.drippingsprings.com. That's where we'll be in the crispy fall weather.

Love and light to all and thank you all for your thoughts/prayers.

Lisa

Wink Coming out ...

Dear Lisa - Just when the bears are going into hibernation, you are coming out. Well, I guess bugeling elk could be music to some people's ears!

I am so happy that hunkering down with the new drug has had the desired effect against your cancer. Hoping to hear that there is some actual improvement rather than stable, but we will also take stable!

Enjoy the fresh air. Went to our local farmer's market yesterday in the drizzle and it really felt like Fall. Got the last of the peaches for this year and the first of the local mushrooms.

{{{big hugs}}}

That's great news on the scans. It can be so stressful at "scan time". Your getaway retreat looks perfect. Do you golf, fish, ride horses ect. or lounge in the hammock by the river? Regardless, it's good to relax and enjoy. Sally
