Question Hepatitis B reactivated

I am in the 6th round of a clinical trial for neoadjuvant therapy (Her2+++, E/P-, Stage IIIc). Last week, my liver function tests went crazy, additional testing indicated Hepatitis B. Although I am not aware of every having had hepatitis B, I did have blood transfusions in the early 80s. Anyway, I've been taken off the taxotere/xeloda I was taking and am only receiving Herceptin. They are rechecking liver function tests and DNA. Don't know if I will get to resume chemo, delay chemo a few weeks, or go directly to surgery followed by radiation. Has anyone on the list had a reactivation of Hepatitis B during chemo? This has been the most bizarre week of my life. Would sure like to know if anyone else has experienced this and if so what to expect.

Thanks,

Peggy
