Dear everyone.

I would like to know if any of you have surgestions for other cemotherapy I can combinate with Herceptine.

I am long time surveivor 8 years with stage 4 bc and 6 years on Herceptine. I live in Denmark and my contry is not so fair in trying new drugs and combinations, as you are in America and many other contries.

I have tried to combinate Herceptine with Zeloda, Taxotere, Navelbine, Carboplatin and now Gemzar with succes. The last two drugs I found on this web side.

But I wunder what to do next when Gemzar is running out of effect.

So I would be very grateful if any of you can tell me, if you know of any other drugs I can combinate with Herceptine.

Thanks Helle

Hi Helle,
One drug that seems to be garnering a lot of discussion is AVASTIN (Bevacizumab). This is going through clinical trial with herceptin and (I think) is worth looking into. Avastin is manufactured by the same people as herceptin (Genentech)

You can access trials in Denmark here: http://www.cancer.dk/

Info on avastin here: (I think)http://www.cancer.dk/forskning/nyhed...=%3C%2FFONT%3E

There is also a trial in denmark with a HER2 vaccine: http://www.mva.org/composite-1225.htm

Herceptin + docetaxil seems a good combination that should be available to you in Denmark:

Good luck,
Al
