Here's a new one on me. Has anyone heard of using a low dose nicotine patch to help neuropathy? An oncologist at my center has started using the patch as a way to help ease the pain. I spoke to a man using the patch yesterday and he says it is amazing. Any thoughts????

Only thought is: I just ran into this online somewhere while looking at the all the replacement therapies for smoking. It sounded far out! but goes to show........ "the stuff that god hath made" ...... or something like that anyway.

I'm for whatever works.

It seems like an oxymoron to me. An oncologist prescribing a carcinogenic?

hmmm...you got me...totally news to me...and that is HARD to do..smile. Following CAF and Taxotere at 100 percent in the old days, I got quite a bit of neuropathy. For me, 500mg of Evening Primrose daily has helped quite a bit. Note, if you are on cumudin (spelling??) you should not take Evening Primrose...fyi. Keep us posted on the patch though...very interesting...would it become addictive???? hmmmmm. Cheers, Gina
