I will try to keep this short. I am a BC survivor, her2+, estrogen+, progesterine negative, finished chemo (6 mos of it) in 2002. Been on tamoxifen since.
Now I am getting abnormal pap results. DId anyone have abnormal cells and, and did your doctor tie it to tamoxifen causing an abnormal pap result?
This is what my ob-gyn said. "sometimes tamoxifen causes an abnormal pap result?"
How in the world do you know for sure?
Wait til it turns into cancer so they get a positive result?
I am post menapausal, chemo took care of that.
My hpv is negative, but shouldn't they be looking for the her2 bc gene, not hpv.
I am as you can see full of questions tonight, and the doctor is on vacation, left yesterday and her office did not return my call today, I am waiting on the test results from a couple of polyps removed from my cervix last week. I found out the pap results through my internal medicine doctor this morning, since I had an appointment with him on checking my kidney blood work, (*bunn and creatine) which wasn't good last month either. Today kidney work was normal.
Thank God for one favor.

thanks,
Dotty

While on chemo for my mets, I had an abnormal PAP test.
We waited a couple of months till I got of the tretment and the next time it was normal. Been normal after that.

Good luck with that - hope you do not have to get involved with fighting another reproductive cancer.
