I have been trying to find what a good MUGA level is. I have read some posts where the levels are around 50. What are/ should be the ranges?

I think above 50 you are fine. Mine are always mid to upper 50s. I've heard some women in the 70s.

Not only the MUGA can monitor your heart EF, the echocardiagram can, too; they both have the same ranges (above 50 acceptable). I have never had a MUGA before, so I've always been on the echo. My numbers usually jump around between low 50's to mid 60's.

Anything above 50 is normal, high forties are borderline. If you're middle aged! it's usually in the fifties or sixties. The higher numbers are for the young!

Hi, I've heard mid to high 60's are in the athelete range and are very good...anything above 50 is completely decent. After CAF, mine were horrible...mid 40's..., but now, on Herceptin alone...they are usally around 60, but I am an avid walker and nutrition nut...smile...been on Herceptin since early 1999, and did have Adriamycin, so a lot depends on what YOU do to help yourself...and not just the "normal" side effects of the drugs you take. As I posted elsewhere tonight...lots of magnesium and walking are great for the heart protection as are onions and beets...Just food ...smile..for thought. Best of luck, Gina
