Debs, you wrote in an earlier post:

"Sorry ladies forgot to add this to my post re painful joints also getting like a fluttering sensation above heart and below throat - almost like the beginning of a panic attack or an adrenalin (sp) rush only last seconds but unnerving. Becomming more consistent as treatment goes on. (Been on Herceptine, Arimidex, Zoledex since Jan this year). Anybody else experienced this?"

I don't know what this would be, except that it could possibly be a problem with your heart and for that reason should be brought to your onc's attention...have you had an Echo or MUGA to check heart function?
Don't mean to scare you, but this should be checked out.

I agree with Lolly, do get it checked out, it well could be Mitral Valve Prolapse or an irregular heart beat, both of which can be medicated. A simple fix but worth getting checked and a echo or Muga will tell you if this is what it is. I have this occasionally, and have for 20 years, mine is due to Mitral Valve Prolapse, and comes and goes, but seems that stress can make it occur more frequently. Hope this helps.

Thanks ladies for your replies.

Had MUGA scan about three months ago and my heart had deteriated (sp) slightly but not enough for my onc to be concerned.

Seeing my onc middle of August so will update him - thanks for your help much appreciated.

Hi Lolly!!!

You know I have experienced this flutter and it is pretty significant. I have a port and have been on Herceptin, Carboplatin, and Taxol.
The fluttering started shortly after I began these meds. It lasted about 2 weeks and then basically disappeared. Onc. reffered me to a cardiologist.

Very strange though.
