Hello Hope,

I just wanted to let you know that long-term decadron could cause some damage to your body.

Personally, I think I was on it too long (last winter-spring). Now that my hands finally stopped shaking last month, my handwriting is not back yet. It still looks funny, like a kid trying to learn scribbles. No matter how hard I try, the writing still looks awkward. I am beginning to wonder if my nerves will be normal ever again. Decadron could cause nerve-damage.

Also, the decadron put me in risk for diabetes. I just had my blood glucose level checked this week, and it went up some. I am officially in pre-diabetes. Agh!!! :-(

Unfortunately, steroids is the only thing available that could reduce swelling....

Good health wishes to you from me.
