Hi to all. Small update on my conditon. Because of my progression of lung mets, and having exhausted all the standard chemotherapies for metastatic breast cancer, I was put on Abraxane. I have tolerated it well except for a lot of gastro/intestional stonacg problems. What are your symptoms, if any. Also, I get CT scans done next week to see if this is the magic bullet that will work on my lung mets. What results have you had? I also am still fighting my one and ony brain lesion that is stillnot resolved. I had MRI done last week. Tumor and edema has decreased slightly, but there is still substantial amount left after 4 monts since Gamma Knife. I am still taking Decadron but at 2mg. a day only. Plus, I still have a lot of symtoms due to decradron and edema. My neurosurgeon, i think is just playing thwaiting game right now to see if it resolves on itself. I see him in 3 weeks again. I don;t feel me getting any worse but not better either. He says it takes a very long time to resolve. Any of you had this exerience? How long did it take for your brain met after getting Gamma Knife to resolve. Frankly, since this met is a re-occurence of the same met in the same spot, I think they over-radiated it. I would appreciate any imput. Chriistine, I will be calling you to get your insight on this also. Thanks and God's blessings to all.

Hi Hope -
Glad to hear that you are hanging in there. Normally it does take a few months for the dead brain tumors to resolve. My small one is gone now, but the large one is still very much visible.
Glad they lowered the Decardon, but a little surprised you still have to take it as the edema must have more severe than mine.

Will be thinking the best thoughts for a good scan next week which will show a reduction in the lung met. Abraxane is a good drug and I am so hoping your body is accepting it well.

Shine on, lady.
