anemia

I just found out that I am anemic from a blood test done at my pre-op appt. I am having surgery on Thurs. (ovaries removed) so I have to start taking iron. Does anyone know if Herceptin, Femara or Lupron cause anemia? I was also wondering what the best med is for osteo. Thanks for any input. Sally

Hi Sally,
My mom's nurse said that Herceptin does attack the red blood cells. My mom takes slow release iron supplements. Make sure you eat your leafy greens, red meat and other sources of iron.
