Here's another site I wanted to share. This organization offers free transportation to treatments for cancer patients. This one came from Michele (mulmer).

The link didn't go through on the first post - hope this works. If not look for Corporate Angel Network.

I checked this out for a friend here in my area and was told a patient has to be low income or fit into an income guideline to use this resourse. Hopefully, it has changed since last year. Hugs, Sandy

Sandy,
They did not want to know anything about my finacnes. They basically did it if you need it. As long as you can walk to the plane, not needing asistance. You can take one other adult with you too.

HI guys

I am checking on transportation. It seems the ANGEL network wants evidence of financial need.

The CAN, you are hitching a ride on empty corporate seats, an there is no guarantee, but they do not ask about financial need. You are supposed to make backup plane reservations (eeek!! in today's system, you can't cancel a flight very easily without penalties!!)

We need a CANCER DISCOUNT CARD so we can get discounts on stuff!!!!!

FYI

My onc is still waiting to hear back from the Hopkins doctor!!!! I am not too positive about any help in my area now, drug-wise.

PS feeling a lot better this week -- taking low dose aspirin. Either its helping or perhaps the Navelbine is kicking in finally - ?

Thanks for your kind comments and information!!!
