Dear friends,

Does anyone have any info or experience with hyperthermia treatments. I know they do them at clinics in Europe and I recently found a place in Los Angeles.

I would like to hear your thoughts or experiences.

Thanks for all of your help tonight, I obviously have a lot on my mind!

Jerri

Jerry,
I have met a woman who does it. She said it's very effective. She gets a hyperthermia treatment right the day after every chemo. She told me that's the way it works. I was there when she got her results after check up, and thy were very good. But I haven't managed to get more info yet. Anyway, I live in Italy, and there is a place in Massa (Tuscany) where they do it (and where she had it). I am not at home now, but I will send you more info asap. Beatrice

hmm....that sounds interesting. I had heard hyperthermia mentioned. Keep us posted Jerri, if you find out anything more about this. I'm always on the look-out for anything that might help.

Jerri,

I just finished 8 weeks of Radiation Hyperthermia treatments for skin mets. I am not sure if that is the "hyperthermia" you are inquiring about. If so, let me know and I would be happy to give you more information. I rec'd my treatment in Ann Arbor MI.

God Bless and watch over you as you continue to make difficult treatment decisions.

Cindi.

Cindy:
I would be interested in more information regarding hyperthermia for skin mets. I am aware that this was being used (not necessarily for skin mets) and in order for the insurance to pay it has to be done with radiation. Is this how you had yours? Do you have the address, e-mail and or phone for Ann Arbor? Can you e-mail me as I would like to discuss the skin mets with you. My e-mail which I believe comes up with my name but here it is sanhenry@prexar.com Please put from the Her2 on it so I don't delete it. Hugs, Sandy

Sandy H.

I am sorry that I haven't had a chance to write you about my hyperthermia. It's been a bit crazy at home. My 11 year old son has an upper G.I. scheduled today for abdominal pain that has been going on for about 2 months.

I will NOT forget to write to you. Maybe I can even get to the computer this afternoon.

Talk soon.

Cindi.
