What About Hair Regrowth?

Cyndi always had naturally curly hair before chemo, when it came back the first time it was even more curly, nearly nappy. If it comes back more curly this time around we will just have to call her Brillo... By the way, I think she looks just great bald, I like her to keep it shaved rather than the whispy growth. But then I never was in Love with her for her hair!

Just wondering did your hair come back straighter or more curly than pre-chemo.

Before Chemo I had long straight blonde hair. When it came back it was very curly and much darker. Now I have to pay to be blonde!! LOL

I had the straightest hair you could imagine, but lots of it. Always wanted curls, well you know, be careful what you wish for...I finished my AC in September and now I have maybe 3 inches of hair...but it looks like 1 inch because it is so curly...like a chia pet....I'm not sure if this will be permanent hair, or whether or not it will be different in a year or two.

I am a straight brunette. The first time it came in it was curly. The second time it was black and straight. We will see what the third time does. This time it maybe the perfect one which for me, I think, would be blonde and curly!! Hugs, Sandy

pin straight hair before chemo, wavy hair after chemo and 2 yrs later back to pin straight.

Like the last post, but not quite back to "pin straight" yet. After the first loss I barely had time for it to cover my head before I had to get back on strong chemo. Now just about 3-4 inches long with a little wave so I can style it a little bit. Color is the same as 3 years ago before first chemo. Never dyed my hair but had to have body perms before cancer, and I see myself getting one before summer! Would be nice to have a little bit of Cyndi's curl!

My hair was naturally curly and also very thick. It came back with tight curls, and MUCH thinner. It has taken some time to learn how to style it. I use straightener, which helps a little. I am wondering if in time, it will be more like it was before. I'm not complaining, though, as I am very thankful to have any hair at all!! Blessings...

Had light blond, thin, fine, straight hair before chemo. Everyone told me about the "chemo perm". I was looking forward to finally getting the curls I'd always wanted...no such luck. My hair came back in a dark, ash blond, thin, fine and straight as a board. Linda in Calif.
