Tumor shrinkage after 1st dose of Avastin/Herceptin

Hi- I just started the Avastin/Herceptin clinical trail and the doctor has confirmed shrinkage of my skin metastasis after only 7 days!

What fantastic news!!! Having skin mets myself, it's not pleasant but certainly is easier to monitor than internal issues. What exactly is Avastin and how does it work, if you don't mind my asking?

Hi Carol, how is it with enlarged lymph glands, my mets is always in the skin and lymph glands. I have one stubborn one at the momenton the side of my neck that Herceptin/Navelbine and radiaiton can't shift. Also couldn't find much about it's use with breast mets, only colon and rectum. Thanks Lyn
