My onc. is a one for details and maybe the 25% information is not really an issue. He told me I was positive.

Ally,

It could be the reason your oncologist is somewhat reluctant to give you Herceptin is because of your Her2++ status. They have found the stronger one overexpresses her2 protein, the better they respond to Herceptin (Her2+ does not usually respond at all, Her2++ so-so, Her2+++ does very well). My onc explained they felt it was because there was more her2 protein for the Herceptin to find and latch on to. At any rate, there are lots of great chemos out there so please do not get discouraged. We all want to blast it with everything there is, but even that is no guarantee it will not return.
