Most people seem to be using baking soda and/or a mouthwash called chlorhexidine gluconate oral rince .12%.

I made the post because there seem to be a number of people who have persistant severe mouth problems that don't resolve with the above routine solutions. I thought that it might be an alternative that they could explore.

You must use the dexamethosone as a mouthwash daily as prescribed. Then you suck on the lozange between times as prescribed. You would have to speak to your doctor to get the prescription.

I spoke to the difficulty of getting these medications in Canada. I don't know how easy/hard it would be in other countries. I am sure you could resolve any issue simply by getting the pharmacy to order.....or there are the internet pharmacies.

I would suggest that you try the easy stuff first before you pull out the big guns that I suggested.

As I have said before in posting, baking soda works great for me. I brush my teeth and tongue several times a day and have never had may mouth sores. I only have a soapy taste in my mouth and baking soda does the trick for me. Its worth trying first then, go to the other. It is also a great teeth whitner! Hugs, Sandy
