Well ladies, after feeling like a fraud for a fem months boasting I was NED, the neck lump I have been trying to sort out for nearly 12 months has been biopsied and of course, true to form, positive. The CT's and untra sounds kept saying it was noting but the MRI told a different story. I find out tommorrow what my next line of treatmentwill be. I am hoping that life runs in 7 year cycles because this month is the beginning of my 7 years of constantly treating this Beast. I have been absent on and off this site, trying to sort out my heart failure,Hashimotos throid disease, fractured shoulder and now of course the next edition of beating cancer with sheer determination,I am not a very good looser. Besides I figure that if my heart, thyroid, connective tissure and fractured shoulder are under control I must be healing and not dieing, I even had a flue shot. I was told that the shoulder replacement will be painful, I don't think it could anymore painful than what us ladies go through, we are not whimps.

Prayers, Love & Hugs to you All.

Love & Hugs to you all.

Lyn,
I know you were hoping against hope it wasn't what you thought, and you were NOT a fraud by looking on the positive side, while trying your
#*%!#&*!est to get a definitive diagnosis, so don't apologise, we are all in the same boat.
So, the games afoot, and you'll attack this thing with grit and determination, and you'll get to NED again, and we'll do cyber high-fives!
Hugs, and more hugs, Lolly

Hi Lolly, thanks,I figure if it has been here for 12months now it is time for it to vacate, I just hate touching my neck all the time hoping it would shrink instead it just feels tighter all the time. I will let you know tomorrow what is ahead of me and it better be hair.

Love & Hugs Lyn

Drats and damn!! I am sorry you have to face this, but am not surpised from what you have been saying. Just as well you hung in there. At least you know where you stand now, and should get the right treatment for it at last. Good luck with it all. It sounds like you have been through such a lot already. You are obviously very strong.
Best wishes
Vicki

Thanks Vicki, I am not surprised either, when I first had the BC the old dumped Doc didn't think that there was anything wrong with having one breast big and solid and the other normal, she thought I may have a cyst that burst and gave me a script for antibiotics, how wrong was she, even the doc doing the biopsy couldn't see anything wrong with how my breast looked, and now for the last 12 months no one was very concerned about my neck mass but me and my GP and we just couldn't get to the bottom of it, I would have a CT and the reports would say have an Ultra sound and the ultra sound report would say have a CT, so I had an X-Ray, I was the one who said hands up who agrees on a biopsy and that was what I got but that lump was for one deep under my jugula vein and it was taken for granted that it had made the neck mass but know after radiation the neck mass was still there but the other was gone and with the MRI it said that apart from my obvious one there were no more in my neck but I don't know if it is my imagination or not but I feel as though it is getting tighter. Tomorrow I will learn my fate but I have sent over the info from this site for some of the treatments.

Love & Hugs Lyn

Here is hoping you have a great response to treatment for this, my lump in my neck was discovered in Sept, biopsied and found to be BC returned in the nodes, I started Herceptin only every 3 wks in Oct, and now my scans show NED...I am praying for the same response for you...Heres a big hug to get you started and some positive thoughts for quick eradication of the "beast"!
Hugs

Lyn,
Good luck to you. It's awful when we try so hard just to have it return again. I'm facing the same thing as you. I had my CT scan today and next week I get the bone scan. But we'll all hang in there together and battle this rotten disease!
Hugs,
shelley
