The treatment center where I live has such a cheerful, upbeat atmosphere that I look forward to going in! The nurses are always smiling and wonderfully caring, and my oncologist's wife, who is a quilter, brings in her latest creations to hang on the walls and over the backs of the chairs. We take turns bringing in home baked treats to share and tell stories to pass the time. It's so conducive to healing. My sisters and daughter have taken turns sitting with me and were also pleasantly surprised the first time.
Glad to hear your mom has gotten started, and all my best wishes go out to her.
