Friends,

Thanks Steph for asking about recent tests. I suppose I should share my news. It's funny how I hesitate...afraid I'll jinx it? ...feeling ambivalent because of others' recent bad news?

ANYWAY, I spoke with a radiologist Friday about my CT scans from a few weeks ago (I had read the reports then and finally saw the films this week). In Sept. when diag with liver and bone mets, my liver was 25% involved with mets all over it (picture Swiss cheese). Friday, he and I saw three tiny hazy (not solid even) spots which he said appeared to be "collapsing on themselves." "I see very little evidence of disease." It's not NED, but VLED...still sounds damn good to me! He told me about a very new Bone Scan technology related to PET that is much more sensitive than the other Bone Scan. I'll ask about getting it to really look at bone mets, then I may actually be off the Navelbine (after 7 months and MANY weeks)in a month or so. AND we're checking out a haziness in the uterus area, but I'm not worried. In fact, I'm thrilled! Thanks, everyone, for your continuing support.

Love and healing light to all,

Lisa

What great news, Lisa!! I am so pleased for you! You should never be hesitant about posting good news....we all get a vicarious thrill for the good results others receive. I have scans scheduled for May 10th, including a brain scan that I believe you recommended. No symptoms, but my onc Oked it. What is the name of the new and more sensitive bone scan? Many thanks!
