The report reads, "nodular pleural thickening in the lung bases posteriorly; not evident on previous scans of 12/26/03." then says could be metastic or or progression of post radiation fibrosis?? My tumor marker continues to come down & skin mets improving, still on Xeloda & wkly Herceptin. This concerns me since I have moderate pain/pressure in ribcage, just before I sneeze (sounds silly), but I try to sqeulch the sneeze. Any thoughts?

When I was on taxotere I got pleural effusion in both lungs. Had a horrible time & had to have fluid drained 4 times. Since then CT scans have shown some opaque area in lung. Onc. said it could be early sign of cancer there, or just scar tissue from the fluid problems. I too have a pain like you describe when I have to sneeze & it's worrisome. But I've had 2 or 3 PET scans in the last year & nothing lung related shows up on it, so I'm trying to relax and assume it's scar tissue.
