Moving Experience

I just returned from Komen Rac for the Cure in Peoria IL....how amazing to see 25,000 people turn out to help find a cure for this dreaded disease....I was shocked at all the survivors....I was #1635, and I registered early...that should give all of us hope....anyway, the 3 miles of men and all the support was overwhelming, humbling and quite touching...if any of you get the chance to participate in one, DO...it is a moving experience.

I am from morris, IL...Peoria is about a 2 hr drive/ but I make the trip frequently with my grandaughter as she is treated at St. Francis for her numerous medical problems. Sometimes I look at her and think why am I feeling sorry for myself, I just have BC...she has fought to live for 7 1/2 years since the day she was born. Wonderful Dr.'s in Peoria...and a great Komen breast center!
