Hi Kim - I just got back from UW last night; it was the "offical" end of the her2 vaccine trial I've been in since January '04. Five vaccines, and many scans, blood tests, but it all went well - well, hopefully, I had a chest xray and muga yesterday, so no results on those yet. and October.

I was in the trial for those who have never had Herceptin. I was diagnosed april 2002, 1.8cm, 1+ve node, lumpectomy, 4AC, 4Taxol, 37 rads. I'e been lucky to feel quite fit and healthy the past 2 years.I feel Blessed.

Good Luck, Marianne

ps. Are you staying overnight at the Best Western University Tower? I know all the best rooms for the view! and a good free breakfast.

OOPs, part of my message got erased. Also meant to say I have 2 follow-up visits -- July and October, then, yearly, I think.

All the best

Marianne,

What wonderful news - you must excited. Thanks for being another one of those special few who are willing to participate in a clinical trial. These are absolutely vital in helping beat this beast. I hope you find this successful in keeping the her2 in check. God Bless.

Hi Marianne,
So glad to hear that things went well for you during the trial. Did you have to travel far to get there? I will be flying in to Seattle from Oakland, CA. I will fly home the same day. It will be quite a long day but I really can't be away from home any longer than I have to because we have so many pets! Hopefully everything will go smoothly and I won't have any reactions that would cause me to have to stay longer.
I'm so excited, yet so very nervous!
Kim
