Dear Jerri -
thanks SO much for your story on how this met was picked up.
Fortunatly, I do have a lot of lab work done every three weeks with my herceptin and Zometa infusions. There are several reasons for this. I have TWO tumor markers run each time, as well as they need to keep track of my creatinin level for the Zometa. My blood counts are not the main thing, but my doctor wants to see that they are normal and stable. Guess this is a good idea in light of what happened to you!
(I will also pay more attention to the red count!)
