I was reading back thru your posts about your and Cyndi's exploration of treatments for brain mets. I am doing the same thing and have just had my consults w/ radiologist/oncologist and neurosurgeon. The rad/onc talked up the WBR, stating (correctly) that the studies just aren't there to tell you that the Gamma or Cyber alone are as effective as when done as a follow up to WBR. (New study in progress now to assess that issue) He sd it was my decision. However, the neurologist told me that if it was his brain, he would NOT do the WBR!! I have 1 very small spot on one side and at least 1 possibly 2 others that are clouded on the MRI by swelling on the other side. Hope this helps in some way!!
