Taxol news from ASCO meeting

Purusing the ASCO website, I found an abstract from their meeting which stated that Taxol given weekly is superior to every three weeks for metastatic BC patients. This was included with Herceptin for HER2 pos. women and with and without Herceptin for HER2 neg. While it stated a 40% response rate for weekly doses vs. a 28% response rate for 3 week doses, it didn't go into detail about that.

That weekly dose of Taxol sure worked for me! Maybe I was included in the survey numbers ...?

good to know this..Sis was taking every week, but as of today will be receiving the three week dose...will mention it to the doctor.

I took weekly taxol & it worked for me. My university hospital had participated in a study comparing weekly taxol & 3 week taxol years ago. They had found that weekly worked better.
