Thanks so much for that info,Joy. And since I know the doctor you speak of, I'm copying your story and giving it to my onc (who also knows your bc specialist). After reading it, I believe my onc follows the same thoughts as your specialist. Although, since I've never been on hormonal treatment for actual cancer, I can't be sure about that part.

Awesome story joy...where is this doc????..I want him!!!!!! My onc kinda feels the same way, but then again, I think he gets complacent sometimes, so then I always get that second opinion to keep him on his toes. Some docs don't realize we are fighting this battle tooth and nail, and are expecting them to help us with that. I speak my mind whether they like it or not.

Hey kathy, good for you for demanding and checking. Self-advocacy, in my opinion, is a lifesaver. This doc is in Denver and Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers-Rose. His name is Scot Sedlacek, MD and unfortuantely his practice is currently closed, but he does have a partner who is open i believe. Now I assume they practice similarly and have heard great things about Dr. Paul, but i don't have any personal experience with him. Keep on, keepin' on kathy!
