I was not offended at all. I am sorry if I gave you the wrong idea. This message board has been a life-line for me. I was just noting that I know how it feels to "not belong" at support groups. I have always felt accepted here.

Hi Christine,

I continue to battle pleural effusions. I have a pleurodex catheter and a nurse comes to my house to drain it every two days. The fluid has decreased from 1,000cc to 450 cc. But, I still have a lot of shortness of breath. My last ct scan did show some possible lymphangitic mets. I'm waiting now to see if I will get on the GSW trial. Do you think that could help with this problem? I've read about it here. Do you have any personal insight about the trial? Could it possibly be as good as herceptin?

Thanks for your help.

Blessings and Hugs,

Linda in MI.

I don't know if this is considered Phase Ib because they have already done the vaccine on a group of women out of Walter Reed - so I assume the women were in the military or the spouses of military personnel. They have released the vaccine to try on the civillian population. Thank you for your words of support - you are truly the warrior!
