They have been having good results with gw57201 here at ucla in their clinical trails. I almost entered that clinical trail but then someone dropped out the herceptin avastin trail at the last minute. I was the last person entered into that herceptin/avastin study. Does anyone know how long the gw57201 trials have been going on? If not I'll ask my doctor next month. Thanks, Carol

I was on that trial last summer and I believe I was the 1st patient in the phase 2 part of the study. Unfortunately, it only held me for 3 months but now in retrospect, that was pretty good considering I had extensive lung mets.

Can you tell me what dose of avastin you are on? I would like to consider using it off label when my current chemo runs its course.

I know that the doses are usually 5-10 millingrams per kilogram and would be interested to know if you are at 5 or 10.
