Check out my post on the Articles of Interest Board re: a small trial using Herceptin in the neoadjuvant setting with Stage II and III women.

Love and light,

Lisa,
Dr. Buzdar was the dr. that talked at the cure mag. patient survivor seminar that i went to in Dallas. He talked about this study. He said that at MD ANderson, where he works, he is giving all women that are her2 pos this new tx. My question is how is he doing this when insurance only pays for herceptin in a stage 4 person? He was the one that stood up when asked? What is the newest greatest thing in breast cancer right now? And he answered Herceptin!! I thought, Yeh!!, I am on this!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember this being talked about in an earlier post but I also remember something that it was only for stage 1 or no lymph node involvement. Well, reading this it seems that it should involve some lymph nodes if it is stage 2 & 3...right? This is great and very encouraging.

Thanks! Ruth
