Hi Linda

I was diagnosed with bone mets 6 months ago after going 12 and 1/2 years from original stage 1 diagnosis. I had 22 rad tx's and I'm currently on weekly (3on/1off) taxol, carboplatin, and herceptin, with monthly zometa tx's. I am tolerating the treatments extremely well. I'm 48 years old but I've also had many other health issues along the way. There are other older women at the treatment center who are having the same weekly treatments that I am and they are also tolerating tx's well. Ask her onc. if she can have weekly smaller doses rather then the full monthly doses. I also have a woman who prays with me before every treatment and puts me on the prayer chain where I have more people praying for me. My CA15-3 count was 345 in March 04, 111 after radiation treatment, and 34 after 2 complete chemo cycles. I wasn't going to have any treatment because I thought it was useless, but I'm glad that I changed my mind and gave it a shot.
