cox 2 research

Okay, I have done some homework and found that they did a large clinical study (1576 invasive breast cancers)and the COX 2 inhibitors help HER2/neu ER+ but not the ER-. http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/cg.../full/62/3/632 Titled "Prognostic Significance of Elevated Cyclooxygenase-2 Expression in Breast Cancer" by Cancer Reseach. Now I believe that there are two different issues here. COX 2 raises inflammation and is found in cancer. Celebrex which controls COX 2 works its magic on cancer by inhibiting it from forming vessels for its food supply. Not sure how those are related. There is a great book I've read called "Racing for a Cure" by Ruzik (?) It is a true story about a man who came down with an aggressive form of Lymphoma but he started taking Celebrex at the same time as the diagnosis and the Celebrex starved his cancer by cutting off its food supply. This remission lasted 4 years then the body figured out how to get around the Celebrex. He went on to get a vaccine from his own cancer and is still alive today. It seems that Celebrex doesn't work for some of us due to the hsp90 (heat shock protein)in our bodies. (Not quite sure what that is). Drug companies are working on inhibitors for this and are combining it with Celebrex. I am sure there will be trials for this combo soon. Hope this helps and makes sense.
