Hi,
I'm 42 and have finished chemo (Taxotere/Carboplatin). I have been taking Tamoxifen for 3 weeks and I want to cry all the time. I am overwhelmed by life. Has anyone else had this side effect? I've also had 3 of 33 radiation treatments. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I took it for over 2 1/2 years until my doctor just changed me to femara. It is very normal how you are feeling and it will get better. I had alot of mood swings in the beginning and hot flashes as well as alot of water retention. It all did get better as time went on. I remember my kids asking me why I cried all the time when I first started taking it! Hope this helps!!

It's been a few years since I've taken it, but I don't remember this reaction. However, I was then and am now on anti-depressants. They have really made a difference in day-to-day emotional blitzes. I personally take Lexapro with no side effects.

Love and light,

Lisa
