I was given the statistics by my onc that i had 70-80 chance of never having the big C again after being treated for early BC(stage 2b with 3 nodes involved) I then think I challenged him on those staistics when i found out my HER-2 status. He lead me to believe it didn't make much difference. I read this site a lot and all you women are fabulous but I am still left wondering if it will DEFINITELY be me in X number of years. And then all the drama of changing diet and not eating sugar(as I eat my Toblerone)I think is it worth it if it isn't going to make much difference?
Confused

I believe that after the chemo and surgery's are done... diet is the most important step you can do to determine those odds. It's all about balance and it has more to do with what you DON'T EAT rather than what you do. If you eat your celery and parsley for the apigenin that controls & kills HER2/neu cells, spinach and kale for the enzymes, B's and chlorophyll, pumpkin and cod liver oil for the vitamin A & D's, take fish oil for the EPA & DHA's, take Zyflamend by New Chapter for controlling the COX 2 enzyme then yes you have a treat after a healthy dinner. The problem with sugar is not so much the sugar but what it does to your blood glucose levels. You really want to eat so you don't raise them constantly. Read up on diabetes and follow their general rules for balancing sugar. Do some research and be in control.
